At one point, I weighed over 245 pounds, and made poor food choices living on processed foods, fast-food meals and my husband and I went out to quite a few restaurants each week. Our physical activities were poor at that time as well. I had an awakening one day in 2015 that changed my life for the better. Many of my family members were overweight at the time as well, and I could see where I was going if I did not do something for myself and for my family. So, I decided that was not what I wanted for my life. I started out eating healthier and then I started exercising with weights to help with toning.

Then I found Zumba at the YMCA. I started going to classes weekly and finally became a certified Zumba instructor back in 2019. I fell in love with Zumba, and how much fun it is, and how much I would look forward to going to the class each week. By going to Zumba class, it reminded me of how much I enjoyed line dancing earlier in my life. By doing Zumba, eating healthier and exercising more often, I lost over a 100 pounds in the process. I never used any kind of weight loss medications… No Shots, No Pills and No Surgery. I have vowed to myself to keep it off and to not look back but to keep moving forward with my new outlook on life. Now, I would like to help others out there to find the kind of results that I have been able to achieve.

I bring you these types of exercise classes not just to benefit you just for your physical health reasons, but also to bring you together as friends and family to enjoy the work out together. This is a chance to come together and to make more friends and have fun. You will have the pleasure of feeling like you are not working out but enjoying yourself at a party. Zumba will give you the benefit of taking things off your mind, and helping you boost your confidence and lower your stress level. So, Let’s Dance!!!
