HISTORY OF ZUMBA:
ZUMBA WAS INVENTED IN 2001 BY ALBERTO “BETO” PEREZ. THE ZUMBA WAY OF DANCE USES THE LATIN RHYTHMS AND EASY TO FOLLOW MOVES TO CREATE A DYNAMIC FITNESS PROGRAM. IT IS AN INTEGRAL STYLE OF DANCE THAT COMBINES LOW INTENSITY AND HIGH INTENSITY MOVES. ZUMBA (AS WELL AS LINE DANCING) IS A HEALTHY PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND IT IS A PERFECT BALANCE, INCREASING CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH AND BRAIN MEMORY. IT IS ALSO A FUN WAY TO PERFORM CARDIO EXERCISES THAT WILL HELP YOU BURN A LOT OF CALORIES AS YOU DANCE AND HAVE FUN. THE BEST PART OF IT ALL, IS THAT IT DOES NOT EVEN FEEL LIKE EXERCISE! A CARDIO EXERCISE OF DANCING IS MEANT FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND THEREFORE, IT IS AN INTERVAL WORKOUT. THE OVERALL INTENT IS TO DANCE AT A MEDIUM PACE; BUT IT IS YOUR CHOICE TO GO AT ANY LEVEL YOU WANT. EACH SESSION MOVES AT A PACE BETWEEN LOW AND HIGH INTENSITY DANCE WORKOUTS. THIS WILL HELP RAISE YOUR HEART RATE AND BOOST YOUR CARDIO ENDURANCE. THE DANCE CARDIO CLASS OF ZUMBA WILL ALSO TARGET LOTS OF DIFFERENT MUSCLE GROUPS AT ONCE FOR A TOTAL BODY WORKOUT OF TONING.
